- No Pay‑to‑Play: Brands cannot buy coverage, ranking, or influence our scores.
- Samples: We accept loaner or sample units for efficiency; acceptance never guarantees coverage or a favorable outcome. Where feasible, we also buy retail units to cross‑check findings.
- Access and Embargoes: Early access does not change our methods or conclusions. We publish when testing is complete.
Methodology and Evidence
- Transparent Methods: Our review pages link to How We Test and list blades, guides, batteries, adapters, and materials used.
- Verifiable Claims: Performance statements are supported by measurements, photos, or fixtures. Subjective impressions are labeled as such and anchored to a rubric.
Monetization and Affiliate Links
- Affiliate Disclosure: Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you click and buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This supports our lab and field work.
- Firewalls: Monetization does not affect test priority, scoring, or conclusions. Ad and affiliate partners have no editorial access.
Corrections and Updates
- Corrections: If we make a mistake, we fix it and note the change at the top or bottom of the page with a timestamp.
- Re‑testing: When products are revised or readers surface credible issues, we schedule verification and update scores if warranted.
- Version History: Major updates are summarized on the page.
Conflicts of Interest
Contributors must disclose relevant relationships (employment, consulting, sponsorships). We recuse team members where conflicts exist.
